The Approved Miracle of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton The Miracle 2 Anne Theresa O Neill was born at Baltimore on October 7, 1947, to William Richard O Neill and Felixena Phelps O Neill. However, Our Lord did allow the following miracles to happen through the intercession of Sister Elizabeth. Sister Elizabeth Ann Seton did not perform miracles. Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton was born, brought up and educated in New York in the Episcopalian Communion. Her father, Dr. Richard Bayley, was a doctor and one of the first health officials in New York City. Since her death on Jan. 4, 1821, Mother Elizabeth Ann Seton had been credited with one miracle -- the 1935 cure of a New Orleans nun suffering from pancreatic cancer. To this Church goes the merit of having awakened and fostered the religious sense and Christian sentiment which in the young Elizabeth were naturally predisposed to the most spontaneous and lively manifestations. Until the early part of 1952, she enjoyed good health. Elizabeth Ann Bayley Seton was born into a wealthy Episcopalian family in New York City on August 28, 1774.
