In the quippier, more sitcommy days of The Orville’s first season, this recurring gag from Captain Mercer (Seth MacFarlane) to young, super-strong security chief Alara Kitan (Halston Sage) was one of the few lines that actually worked. I was hoping it was gonna be about Alara visiting her home planet, but nope.
